Stephanie Dorris is a recent graduate of the University of Chicago, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History. Her studies were primarily devoted to American Social and Political History, with a special focus on Legal History.
While at the University of Chicago, Stephanie was a board member and competitor on the University’s Undergraduate Moot Court Team, arguing Constitutional issues as well as managing the leadership and logistics of the group. She was awarded several individual speaking awards, and her team achieved high ranks nationally. She also worked at the University of Chicago Law School, assisting the Communications Department with such matters as faculty publications, scholarship, and media coverage.
Stephanie has also worked at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office as a legal assistant in its Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault division. In this position, she was able to continue her passion for helping victims of these crimes. She previously did volunteer work advocating for victims of sexual assault at Planned Parenthood. She has held summer positions interning with a marketing company that represented the interests of Chicago-area hotels and restaurants, and she worked on the senatorial campaign for Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL).
At Wood LLP, Stephanie aids attorneys in many areas, including fact checking, copy editing, citations, and document management, as well as working on publications.
